OutcomesAI: What We’re Working On
Last month we announced the launch of Project Evident’s new OutcomesAI practice, which is dedicated to advancing the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for greater impact within the social and education sectors. OutcomesAI is the latest example of Project Evident’s mission in action—empowering practitioners to make data-driven decisions and improve outcomes for the communities they serve.
The OutcomesAI team is already hitting the ground running with several exciting projects underway or launching this fall! Here’s a glimpse of some of the innovative work we’re leading:
- Supporting equitable AI adoption through case studies and a community of practice: With the generous support of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, we’re producing a series of case studies that explore how nonprofits and school districts are adopting AI to enhance their work. Alongside this, we’re managing a community of practice to foster shared learning and collaboration around using AI to advance outcomes.
- Scaling college advising with AI solutions: Also backed by the Gates Foundation, we’re working with a network of college advising programs, leveraging innovative technology and AI-enabled solutions to scale their efforts and improve student outcomes—helping more students access critical education and career opportunities and sharing what we learn with the education sector.
- Empowering Tipping Point grantees: We’re partnering with Tipping Point Community to provide hands-on coaching and training for a cohort of their grantees, equipping practitioners to better leverage AI to fuel innovation and accelerate equity.
- Supporting economic opportunity with GitLab Foundation: We provided technical assistance to organizations within GitLab Foundation’s inaugural AI for Economic Opportunity Fund and are working with their Learning in Action Fund, supporting AI applications that expand economic opportunities and create pathways for a more inclusive workforce.
